Counseling
Counseling is at the core of what we do at The Center KSQ. The inception of the design of our integrated-wellness community was founded on the insight and vision of our original counseling team. Counseling is such a vital and important tool. It centers around not what is wrong with you, but about what has happened. This is a paradigm shift in the clinical world and a cornerstone to who we are and how we practice as a team at The Center KSQ.
Eliot is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with more than a decade of clinical experience helping clients overcome challenges, realize personal goals, and achieve positive growth. He brings warmth, openness, and curiosity into the therapeutic space, fostering trust and genuine connection. Drawing on multiple evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)—Eliot develops a unique treatment plan and a set of therapeutic interventions for each client to best meet their needs and goals. Eliot specializes in individual therapy for teens and adults and treats a broad range of issues with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. He understands that change can be exciting and empowering, whilst also being uncomfortable, destabilizing and frightening. From starting a career to retiring from work, the beginning of a romantic relationship to separation from a partner, becoming a new parent to losing a family member, Eliot is drawn to supporting people as they navigate transitions, helping them not only endure change but also grow from it.
In 10+ years of clinical experience, Eliot has had the privilege of working with a diverse array of clients and mental health issues. In 2014, he earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University and from 2014 to 2017 provided individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy as a clinician under the guidance of licensed practitioners. Since receiving his Professional Counselor licensure in 2017 Eliot has specialized in individual therapy. His approach integrates several therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Dialectic Behavioral therapy, and Cognitive Processing therapy. Every person is different, so Eliot develops a unique treatment plan and set of therapeutic interventions that best fits each one of his clients. Often this means that Eliot will utilize tools from several different therapeutic models, tapping into their various strengths and helping clients most effectively grow and make positive change.
Adult Individual Therapy. Eliot works with adults of all ages and backgrounds, providing one-on-one therapy sessions.
Teen/Adolescent Therapy. Eliot works with younger people above the age of 15 that are at the appropriate level of maturity to benefit clinically from his talk-based therapeutic approach. During a first session with a teen, Eliot will determine if he is a good fit or if they would be better served by working with a child therapist or child psychologist. Eliot is passionate about working in this period of a young person’s life and finds it rewarding to help them navigate the large changes they face.
